		<description>Good question, on playing position there are 3 outcomes: too hard, too soft, just right.
Most of the time you can eliminate one of those choices as being "bad", so effectively you are left with a zone that is fairly large instead of pinpoint. That doesn't mean you can get lazy and not try to put your cueball on a specific spot, but if you were to err you can pick which side is more beneficial for you to err on.</description>

		<description>&lt;p&gt;Nice update Neil.  It's nice to know that the pros get a little obsessive over shape or lack thereof also.  I thought us amateurs were the only people who did that.  Maybe there is hope for us yet.  &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is there any worth to looking at a shot and instead of picking an exact spot you want to be afterwords, looking at weather you would be better off hitting the shot too hard, or too soft - and trying to err on that side?  Or is that just training myself for failure? I find myself doing that, especially when playing poorly and am not sure if I am helping by being less critical on my position, or if I am shooting myself in the foot and being lazy. &lt;/p&gt;
